As a Fixed Plant Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of our process plant and train load out systems from the Fortescue Centre HIVE. Working at the heart of our operations, you’ll help deliver production targets by maintaining plant stability, resolving issues quickly, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control fixed plant and train load out operations to achieve production targets.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve process issues efficiently to minimise downtime.
  • Maintain accurate operational reporting using platforms such as A-plus, Babelfish, Excel and Outlook.
  • Follow correct recording, reporting and escalation processes to ensure accountability and transparency.
  • Monitor system alarms and take proactive corrective action.
  • Review and analyse trends to optimise plant performance.
  • Investigate breakdowns and delays to improve plant reliability.
  • Regularly review and update fixed plant control procedures, including SWIs and single-point lessons.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in frontline fixed plant operations (essential).
  • Previous control room experience (highly regarded).
  • Exposure to SCADA systems.
  • Strong computer literacy, with a passion for technology and innovation.
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled at managing multiple priorities while maintaining focus on safety and efficiency.
