Our Opportunity

Work Location: Perth – Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people
Roster: 4D/4N/8R

 

This role will be offerred as a 12-month fixed-term or secondment opportunity.

 

As a Fixed Plant Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of our process plant and train load out systems from the Fortescue Centre HIVE. Working at the heart of our operations, you’ll help deliver production targets by maintaining plant stability, resolving issues quickly, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify problems in operations process and resolve them in an efficient and timely manner. 
  • Accurate operational reporting to the business through platforms including but not limited to A-plus, Babelfish, Excel, Outlook. 
  • Use correct recording, reporting and escalation processes.
  • Monitor system alarms and take corrective actions to rectify.
  • Periodically review & investigate relevant trends.
  • Actively investigate breakdowns and delays within the plant. 
  • Review and maintain Fixed Plant control procedures including SWI’s and single point lessons.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in front line Fixed Plant operations (highly regarded).
  • Previous control room experience preferred. 
  • Exposure to SCADA system. 
  • Intermediate computer literacy skills and a passion for Innovation and Technology. 
  • Demonstrated ability  work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work with several demanding priorities.
