Our Opportunity

Work Location: Christmas Creek Fixed Plant, located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.

 

Roster: 7D7N7R - FIFO ex Perth, Broome, Karratha or Port Hedland. 


We are seeking a highly motivated Fixed Plant Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join our dynamic processing maintenance team at Christmas Creek. Reporting to the Mechanical Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing, planning, and coordinating the activities of a team of Mechanical Fitters and Boilermakers to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and supervise a team to achieve maintenance goals aligned with business objectives.

  • Ensure compliance with the skills training matrix for both yourself and direct reports.

  • Conduct field interactions and complete incident investigations within the BMS system.

  • Develop, review, and publish Safe Work Instructions (SWIs).

  • Maintain OPF budget and safety performance, ensuring targets are met.

  • Promote and enforce safe systems of work to uphold Fortescue’s safety standards.

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Mechanical trade qualification and/or engineering degree.
  • Previous fixed plant maintenance experience in a mining or heavy industry setting.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in the mining sector would be desirable.
