Our Opportunity
Location: Iron Bridge - Fortescue Iron Bridge is location on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.
Roster: 7D7N14R FIFO ex Perth
Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, this role is responsible for the safe execution of maintenance and servicing across our Ore Processing Facility (OPF). As a key part of our Iron Bridge team, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining high reliability and performance standards across crushing, grinding, screening and pumping equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and uphold Fortescue’s Zero Harm safety culture, ensuring all work is risk-assessed and hazards effectively controlled
- Perform maintenance, inspections and repairs on fixed plant equipment to meet production and reliability targets
- Complete scheduled maintenance activities efficiently and to a high standard, driving continuous improvement across systems and processes
- Conduct diagnostics and fault finding across a range of OPF assets
- Maintain accurate work records using SAP and other digital systems
Qualifications and Experience
- Trade qualification - Mechanical Fitter (essential)
- Proven experience in fixed plant maintenance, ideally within mining or heavy industry
- Hands-on experience with crushing, grinding, screening, and pumping equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Competent computer literacy - MS Office and SAP
- High Risk Work Licences (EWP, Rigging, Dogging, Telehandler) desirable
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement
