Our Opportunity

 

Work Location:  Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

 

Roster:  Monday to Friday

 

This is a 12 month fixed term opportunity

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and professional Group Administrator to provide exceptional support to the C&P Metals Operations GM and leadership team. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to work closely with a dynamic and engaging contracts & procurement team, as well as extensive stakeholders across the whole business, within a fast-paced and evolving environment. 

 

As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in the smooth running of the group’s operations while contributing to strategic business initiatives. 

 

You will be be responsible for delivering seamless coordination and administrative support across contracts and operational activities, managing priorities with discretion and professionalism, and anticipating needs before they arise   

 

This exciting position will best suit someone who is proactive, professional and enjoys interacting with an extensive range of stakeholders. You will be highly organised, proactive in problem-solving and multi-tasking, and demonstrate strong attention to detail. 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Maintain compliance with all Contracts & Procurement (C&P) policies, procedures and systems (including Ivalua, SAP, PIMS, SuccessFactors and Concur).

  • Provide high-quality administrative and coordination support to the GM – C&P Metals Operations and wider team.

  • Proactively manage calendars, inboxes, communication flow, action plans and headcount/budget tracking.

  • Prepare reports, presentations, documentation and meeting minutes; ensure timely follow-up of actions.

  • Coordinate onboarding for new employees and contractors in line with Fortescue requirements.

  • Manage approvals, team organisational changes, expenses, purchase orders, vendor payments and SharePoint workspaces.

  • Coordinate domestic/international travel and team events as required.

  • Support Executive Board paper preparation and submission to set deadlines.

  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across internal and external teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Assist with general administrative tasks and management of the Procurement mailbox.

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Previous experience in administration, coordination or similar support roles.

  • Strong communication, relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Exceptional organisational ability with a high level of attention to detail.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); SAP experience advantageous.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and work collaboratively within a fast-paced team.

  • Professional, proactive and performance-driven approach.
