Our Opportunity
Location: Eliwana/Flying Fish, Pilbara region, Western Australia (90 km west of Tom Price), on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.
Roster: 7 days, 7 nights, 14 off – FIFO from Perth and Busselton.
Join the exciting redesign of Fortescue's new Flying Fish project at Eliwana. In this role, you’ll be a key player in building and supporting a dynamic new team focused on maintaining and repairing large-scale mining equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on large-scale mobile mining equipment, including:
- Tracks Team: Liebherr & Caterpillar Excavators, Epiroc & Caterpillar Drills, and Caterpillar Dozers.
- Tyres Team: Liebherr & Caterpillar Haul Trucks, Caterpillar Graders, Loaders, Wheel Dozers, and Water Carts.
- Learn and adapt to new technologies, ensuring our maintenance team is prepared for the Green Fleet transition.
- Conduct diagnostics and fault finding on equipment.
- Carry out workshop and pit duties as needed.
- Collaborate with mobile maintenance teams to ensure 100% compliance with maintenance schedules.
- Follow all Fortescue and site-specific safety procedures and policies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Australian-recognised Trade Certificate.
- Previous experience in mining, specifically with mobile plant equipment.
- Experience or exposure to Electric HME is highly desirable.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- HR Driver’s Licence.
