Our Opportunity

Location: Eliwana/Flying Fish, Pilbara region, Western Australia (90 km west of Tom Price), on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.

Roster: 7 days, 7 nights, 14 off – FIFO from Perth and Busselton.

Join Fortescue’s Eliwana team as a Fabricator within our Mobile Maintenance division. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of scheduled maintenance and repairs on large-scale mining equipment. Your work will include general fabrication duties, as well as specialised repairs. As part of Fortescue’s commitment to innovation and sustainability, you’ll contribute to the maintenance of our fleet as we transition to the Green Fleet, helping to support our goal of net-zero emissions by 2030.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on large-scale mobile mining equipment.
• Undertake general fabrication duties, including repairs to buckets, blades, and bowls.
• Support both workshop and in-field maintenance activities as required.
• Collaborate with the mobile maintenance teams to achieve 100% schedule compliance.
• Ensure compliance with Fortescue and site-specific safety procedures and policies.
• Adapt to and incorporate innovative technologies as part of the Green Fleet transition.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant Australian recognised trade certificate in Fabrication.
• 6 years + experiance within workshop and in-field HME fabrication 
• Previous experience in similar role in the mining industry.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Heavy Rigid Driver’s License.
