HV Electrical Supervisor - Trucks
Our Opportunity
Work Location: Christmas Creek - Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.
Roster: 7D7N14R FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Broome, Karratha, Port Hedland, Fitzroy Crossing and Kununurra.
Reporting to the Superintendent Mobile Maintenance, the Supervisor role will oversee Heavy equipment maintenance related activities on our Electrical Fleet (BE forklifts, 9400E Liebherr Diggers, 930E haul trucks and other SME). The Supervisor will ensure all Fortescue contractor and subcontractor maintenance personnel are compliant to Fortescue HSE procedures and ensure all mobile equipment is maintained as per OEM recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all Maintenance and Electrical Management systems comply with OEM and Fortescue standards.
- Drive compliance with Fortescue HSE standards and procedures across all maintenance activities.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance in maintenance activities for the Haul Truck and Water Cart fleet, including associated personnel.
- Verify Maintenance Supervision and Trade personnel hold appropriate qualifications, experience, and site-based VOCs.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve machine availability and reliability.
- Ensure all incidents, hazards, and corrective actions are reported and managed through the BMS system.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
- Proven ability to lead and embed a strong Safety Leadership culture using safety management systems.
- Advanced technical knowledge of mining technologies and mobile maintenance fleets.
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to balance urgent and important tasks effectively.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing diverse workshop teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
- Sound knowledge of Mines Regulations, Occupational Health and Safety legislation, and other relevant laws and standards.
