HV Electrician Supervisor

Our Opportunity

Work Location: Christmas Creek - Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands Nyiyaparli people.

Roster: 7D7N14R ex Perth, Busselton, Karratha, and Broome

Reporting to the Superintendent of Mobile Maintenance, the HV Electrician Supervisor will oversee high-voltage electrical maintenance activities on our Heavy Mobile Equipment. This role is responsible for ensuring Fortescue, contractor, and subcontractor personnel adhere to all HSE and electrical compliance procedures, and for maintaining mobile equipment in line with OEM recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical maintenance systems for HME, ensuring compliance with Fortescue and OEM standards.
• Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring HSE standards are met across all high-voltage maintenance activities.
• Provide guidance to all maintenance teams, ensuring qualifications and competencies are current, including site VOCs.
• Lead initiatives to improve machine availability and optimise electrical maintenance strategies.
• Oversee incident and hazard management within BMS.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience in a HV Electrical Supervisor or similar leadership role within mobile maintenance.
• Relevant HV Electrical Trade Qualification and certification.
• Proven experience as an HV Electrician in the automotive or heavy equipment industry, with a focus on electric vehicles, particularly Komatsu machinery.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems and components (inverters, converters, motors, and batteries).
• Familiarity with relevant safety standards and protocols for high-voltage systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting electrical issues.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• HV switching certification is highly desirable.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office and SAP for operational and reporting tasks.
