Our Opportunity

 

Work Location: Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

 

Roster: 8D6R – FIFO Ex Perth or Busselton

 

Reporting to the Infrastructure Superintendent, the role will be responsible for day-to-day NPI maintenance, operational and projects servicing the Solomon mine site, including representing the Infrastructure services team, working cohesively with all internal and external stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Promote and enforce safe work practices, procedures, and company policies across all infrastructure maintenance activities.
  • Engage proactively with broader departmental teams to support integrated operations and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance work processes, reduce downtime and improve asset reliability.
  • Manage direct reports, including monitoring attendance, performance and development to ensure team effectiveness and accountability.
  • Provide technical guidance and positive leadership to the team to drive department safety & efficiency.
  • Work closely with Supervisors and the Superintendent aligning compliance to and prioritisation of planned work, identifying optimisation and efficiency opportunities and developing budget forecast expectations.

 

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Australian recognised trade certificate (desirable).
  • Minimum 3 years in a Supervisor position with experience in leading teams and working in cross functional work areas.
  • 3+ Years NPI experience.
  • Section 26 competent.
  • High Risk licences: EWP, Forklift, Working at Heights, Dogging and Rigging (desirable).
  • Knowledge of and experience in administrative and maintenance systems (Microsoft office, SAP, BMS).
