Roster: 8D6R – FIFO Ex Perth

 

As a Light Vehicle (LV) Maintenance Planner, you will be instrumental in supporting the reliability and availability of light vehicle assets across site operations. Reporting to the Senior Planner, your key focus will be developing, coordinating and executing effective maintenance plans and schedules for LV assets to support operational needs and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Collaborate with front-line leaders to coordinate short-term and long-term planning for the LV Maintenance team.
  • Provide accurate and timely scheduling of planned maintenance and shutdown activities for the light vehicle fleet.
  • Ensure all maintenance planning and scheduling activities align with Fortescue's Work Management processes.
  • Maintain accurate work centres, perform capacity levelling and ensure weekly work schedules are developed and communicated effectively.
  • Manage component tracking, service intervals and maintenance plan resets.
  • Support safe work practices through detailed planning, risk mitigation and communication of job requirements.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the planning and maintenance function.
  • Stay engaged with Fortescue's sustainability and decarbonisation initiatives, including a willingness to adopt and learn new technologies.

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Proven experience in maintenance planning and scheduling within a light vehicle or automotive workshop environment.
  • Strong knowledge of safe and efficient maintenance practices.
  • Proficient in planning tools and systems such as Excel, MS Project, SAP, and Word; Anaplan experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks and adapt to changing schedules.
  • Demonstrated understanding of key planning metrics and the ability to interpret and act on Work Management KPIs.
  • Ability to foster strong working relationships across departments to drive proactive maintenance outcomes.
