Our Opportunity

 

Location: Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.
 

Roster: 4D/3R - FIFO ex Perth

 

We are seeking a highly capable and motivated Lead Trainer to join our team at Iron Bridge. In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of our training operations, ensuring our workforce is safe, competent, and fully compliant with industry and organisational standards. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of workforce capability and have a lasting impact on operational performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor the Training Team to deliver effective, high-quality training programs.
  • Coordinate comprehensive training delivery, including face-to-face classes and Verification of Competency (VOC) assessments.
  • Develop and implement a customer-focused, forward-looking training strategy aligned with operational objectives.
  • Oversee training packages, ensuring they are consistently maintained and updated.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of procedural systems and processes in accordance with company and legislative requirements.
  • Provide hands-on leadership and support to trainers and assessors, ensuring continuous professional development.
  • Ability to train and assess a wide range of competencies to assist with site requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience leading and mentoring teams in complex, safety-critical environments.
  • Strong background in planning, coordinating, and monitoring training or operational programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive safety culture and compliance.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • Proactive, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and team development.
  • Essential: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40120).
  • Experience in auditing, compliance, and training program development.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering results through effective team leadership.
