  • Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people

 

Roster:

7D7N14R – FIFO ex Perth, Broome, Kununurra

 

Fortescue are currently seeking an experienced Mobile Equipment Maintenance Line borer to join our team at Christmas Creek on a 2:2 roster. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing support to the mobile maintenance fleet with all planned and unplanned line boring tasks on a wide range of earthmoving components in the workshop and field-based machine operations.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Set up and operate machining tools and equipment
  • Minor welding and fabrication tasks when required
  • Use of liquid nitrogen to assemble and fit various components
  • Maintain and troubleshoot boring equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and address equipment issues

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Australian Recognised Trade Qualification -  Fabrication/Machining
  • Proven experience in Mobile Equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Confident lathe operator
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and alongside a team
  • Demonstrated computer literacy with all MS Office and SAP highly desirable
