Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people, located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, 90 kilometres west of Tom Price. With Solomon mine, Eliwana forms Fortescue’s Western Hub providing a standalone and complimentary product with Fortescue’s Chichester Hub.

Description:
Reporting to the department superintendent, the role of a mobile maintenance coordinator is to support our front-line leaders (Supervisors). You will unburden the supervision team by organising, facilitating, forecasting, auditing, and managing external engagements within your department.
This role supports the collective teams that undertake work across Eliwana and Flying Fish’s Mining Fleet
Fortescue recently unveiled its roadmap to becoming the world’s first heavy industry company to go green by 2030, aiming to eliminate fossil fuel use and achieve real zero emissions (scope 1 and 2) across our iron ore operations. Eliwana will be the first operation in Fortescue and the world to shift to green iron operations. Your role will include support of the role out of green fleet technology and adapting the maintenance team plus infrastructure as green innovative technology becomes available.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the front-line leaders, execution, and planning teams. Support supervisors by interaction and discussion about daily work execution and assisting progression of jobs when parts issues, tooling or additional trades are required for task. Looking forward in planned maintenance to best set team up for success
- Actively drive the elimination of live work and ITR initiatives
- Manage the mobilisation of service contractors.
- Assist in the management of the MCORS program and on-site shuts.
- Lead the rolling 72 hour plan and ensure all constraints are addressed to minimise production impacts to site
- Adapting to innovative technologies as part of FMG’s Green Fleet transition and Decarb plans
- Willingness to learn new disciplines and skills.
Qualifications and Experience
- Trade Qualified
- Proven experience in heavy mobile equipment maintenance and overseeing Safe Maintenance Activities.
- Strong leadership experience
- Contractor management experience
- Proficient in Excel, SAP, Anaplan, and Word
- Key stakeholder management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Work management and planning experience preferred but not essential as can be learnt on the job.
