Roster: 4D3R – (Day) FIFO Ex Perth
The role of a maintenance coordinator is to support our front-line leaders (Supervisors). You will unburden the supervision team by organizing, facilitating, forecasting, auditing, and managing external engagements within your department.
This role supports the collective teams that undertake both Infield Response, safe delivery of Shutdown duties and Workshop Scheduled Maintenance activities across all styles of HME.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the front-line leaders, execution and planning teams with managing workforce coverage; reallocate staff and contractors to highest-value tasks and escalate resourcing gaps promptly.
- Actively drive the elimination of live work reduction and the implementation of ITR initiatives to continue mitigating safety risk exposures across Maintenance Services and Tyres
- Assist in the management of establishing and maintaining practical systems and registers (equipment registers, fire suppression, calibration/certification logs, barcoded tools/assets, ARC etc) to support compliance and traceability for the Mobile Maintenance Department
- Coordinate the mobilisation and management of OEM specialists and specialist labour to ensure quarterly and half yearly inspections are executed to support the day to day running of the Mobile Maintenance workshop
- Adapting to new technologies as part of FMG’s Green Fleet transition and Decarb plans
- Reviewing and streamlining imbedded processes, looking at improvements for efficiency and cost reductions to assist with leading industry best practices across the department
- Support with maintaining accurate records of tyre histories, serial numbers, fitment locations, removals, repairs, and failures and continue to drive/support the HME recycling strategy
- Improve work management data integrity (notifications, damage/failure codes, time confirmations, component history) and maintain master data quality.
- Elevate Toolstore performance through accurate inventory, kitting-on-time, and calibrated tooling availability, with rapid turnaround on repairs and replacement
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in maintenance coordination/planning within mining or heavy industry across HME
- Strong work management skills, using all functions in SAP (notifications, work orders, task lists, confirmations, history)
- Practical knowledge of HME Tyres
- Practical knowledge of Fire Suppression compliance on mobile plant (awareness of AS 1851/AS 5062 service/commissioning routines and impairment controls).
- Toolstore/asset control experience: inventory accuracy, kitting discipline, calibration registers, and vendor turnaround.
- Current driver’s licence; able to meet site medical/inductions.
- Strong leadership experience
- Vendor management experience
- Proficient in Excel, SAP, and Word
