Our Opportunity

 

Work Location:  Perth/Port Hedland (50/50 FIFO)


Roster: Monday to Friday (Perth 5D/2R, Hedland 4D/3R)

 

Fortescue is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join the Central Services planning team in a newly created role. This position offers a balanced FIFO roster between Perth and Port Hedland and is responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance across three villages in the Port Hedland Operations.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Plan and schedule weekly work for all trades, following the work management process.
  • Maintain accurate SAP master data and asset registers.
  • Develop maintenance tactics aligned with company and statutory requirements.
  • Define PRTs and BOMs to support efficient maintenance execution.
  • Complete ANCI/ATI reviews to ensure critical spares and consumables are available.
  • Lead warehouse stock and critical spares reviews.
  • Manage service agreements with specialist contractors.
  • Monitor and improve work management KPIs.
  • Drive business improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with site leadership to support defect elimination and transition to planned maintenance.

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Proven SAP experience, including master data and maintenance tactics.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Background in maintenance planning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Skilled in creating forward plans and capacity planning.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Knowledge of Registerable Plant and fire system maintenance planning in village settings.
  • Experience in contractor and budget management.
  • High level of confidentiality and initiative.
  • Commitment to quality service and team collaboration.
  • Understanding of change management processes.
