Our Opportunity
Work Location: Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster:. 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth
Reporting to the Ore Processing Facility Central Services Superintendent, this role will be responsible in suppling technical support to the maintenance teams, additional labour support and leadership during Mod outages and Major shutdowns. You will also play an active part in improving maintenance practices and strategies.
This permanent full-time position is within the Maintenance Department of our Process Plant Facility
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with compliance in planning and execution in outages and shutdowns.
- Conducting field interactions.
- Identify, develop safe work instructions for Maintenance plans.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement maintenance strategies.
- QA/QC of component replacements during shutdowns.
- Area lead of personnel during shutdown activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Electrical trade qualification essential.
- Previous electrical maintenance experience and process plant in mining.
- Experience in maintaining MMD sizers, Metso MP1000 and 1250 cone crushers and custom and svendberg conveyor brakes.
- Proven commitment to safety and demonstrated safety leadership.
- Experience with computer maintenance management systems (SAP).
