Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full end-to-end delivery of Fortescue’s enterprise-scale Autonomy Program — shaping the autonomy roadmap and driving multi-site transformation from project initiation through to operational readiness, deployment, and handover to Mining Operations
- Lead and develop a high-performing, multidisciplinary delivery team (engineering, operations, technology, OEM partners and contractors), fostering a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and innovation
- Align all program activities with PMO plans, governance frameworks, strategic milestones, and Fortescue’s long-term autonomy and decarbonisation objectives
- Manage complex Deployment and Delivery budgets across multiple sites, including procurement, workforce planning, forecasting, and engagement of third-party contractors and OEMs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with site leadership, the regulator, statutory bodies, engineering teams, OEMs, technology partners and internal stakeholders to ensure compliant and coordinated deployment of autonomous systems
- Oversee the integration and interoperability of multi-OEM autonomous fleet systems — including AHS, FMS, CAS and emerging autonomy technologies — across a large operational footprint
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies across sites and technology ecosystems, implementing robust mitigation strategies and corrective actions to ensure safe and reliable execution
- Champion Fortescue’s safety culture, ensuring all autonomy deployment, readiness and operational transition activities meet statutory, regulatory, and internal safety requirements
- Drive operational readiness and capability uplift, including operational leadership engagement, change management, workforce transition, and training programs to support autonomous operations.
