Work Location: Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: Monday to Friday
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Health and Safety Leader to support our operations across various divisions. This role will involve collaborating closely with operational and health and safety teams to promote a strong safety culture, drive continuous improvements, and manage health and safety risks across the organisation. If you're passionate about leading high-performance teams, have extensive health and safety leadership experience, and thrive in an operational setting, we would love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Green Metals Pillar in the organisational view of Mining Operators.
- Provide the Green Metals HSMS (45 series) suite of artifacts and associated processes.
- Lead a diverse team of Safety and Compliance Professionals in providing support to Green Metals Operational and HS teams.
- Coordinate and support the Major Hazard Committees for Green Metals.
- Champion Green Metals-level health and safety initiatives and improvements.
- Embed health and safety systems and processes through coaching, facilitation, and support.
- Provide oversight of Mine Operator incident trending, intervention, and support where required.
- Coordinate the SSE Health and Safety Forum.
Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety or Business Management
- Incident investigations qualifications (ICAM, TapRoot, Essential Factors).
- Auditor qualifications (preferred).
- Health and Safety Leadership experience
