Our Opportunity

 

Work Location: Iron Bridge Concentrate Handling Facility (CHF) Port Hedland - Fortescue’s Iron Bridge CHF project is located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people. 

 

Roster: 8D/6R FIFO ex Perth or DIDO ex Port Hedland

 

The Material Logistics Officer role involves providing direct day-to-day support for warehouse operations, ensuring effective and efficient warehousing and distributions to operational sites, all while maintaining a proactive safety environment. Supporting the maintenance team in supplying weekly consolidation of materials for weekly works and the arrangement of the laydown yards between the working weeks.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure full compliance with all site safety requirements and complete all duties safely, in accordance with Fortescue policies, procedures and work instructions.
  • Complete material availability reports through ZMMSTOCK for all maintenance functions across operational sites including Fixed Plant, Mobile Maintenance, Non-Processing Infrastructure, Utilities and PowerStation.
  • Communicate material availability to Fixed Plant, Mobile Maintenance, Non-Processing Infrastructure, Utilities and PowerStation planning teams on a weekly basis.
  • Proactively expedite all materials within the revision supporting DIFOT (Delivery in Full, On Time) onsite, minimising any delays.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in the implementation of standardised processes to enhance efficiency and operational performance.
  • Guide and motivate the Distribution Centre (DC) team through daily tasks, providing continuous training, direction and support to maintain high performance standards.

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • A solid understanding of the end-to-end supply chain process (Vendor to Site) is essential.
  • Possession of a High-Risk Forklift Licence (training provided if necessary).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organisation.
  • Capable of working autonomously while maintaining a collaborative team environment.
  • Able to identify issues and propose effective solutions promptly.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and operational priorities.
