Work Location: Cloudbreak

 

  • Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.

 

Roster: 8D6X ex Perth, Busselton, Karratha and Broome

 

Reporting to the Senior Planner, the Material Logistics Officer opportunity is a role that supports maintenance activities through management of materials to meet daily operational and shutdown requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely complete day to day operations of the MLO yard
  • Inspecting, consolidating & staging materials prior to executing planned work
  • Provide planning support to increase material efficiences and cost savings
  • Return or reschedule materials post shut, including Rotables, in accordance with FMG processes
  • Update material reports and tracking scheduled material requirements
  • Provide support in critical breakdowns by ensuring the most efficient supply of materials to site
  • Support Shutdown Maintenance as required

Qualifications and Experience

  • Current WA C Class Drivers Licence (HR license would be advantageous)
  • High Risk Forklift (LF) Licence & Telehandler licence
  • Material tracking and understanding of the FMG material management process
  • Suitable experience in the business solution SAP at a material management level
  • Good communication skills and experience dealing with equipment / transport vendors
  • Understanding of planning, scheduling and execution processes
  • An understanding of and experience in purchasing
