Our Opportunity
Location: Work Location: Solomon - Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster: 8D6R – FIFO Ex Perth
Reporting to the Mine Infrastructure Superintendent, the Materials Logistics Officer is responsible for the materials handling and logistics operations of all inward and outward materials at Water Services & Cable Management Solomon.
The Mine Infrastructure MLO shall work with internal and external logistics providers to ensure materials are received, managed and dispatched in a safe and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with Management, Supervisors, Planners, Procurement and Warehouse personnel on goods and services required, as well as ensure timely transport and receipt of materials.
- Forklift/Telehandler operation for loading/unloading deliveries and transfer of goods between designated areas.
- Updating item movement and tracking data to ensure accurate information is entered on internal organisation system.
- Prepare goods and delivery notes for dispatch and co-ordinate collection with designated couriers.
- Update and maintain internal quarantine checklist of stock.
- Support Fulfillment Team with accurate order entry and tracking of sales orders up to point of delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in a logistics environment.
- Knowledge of SAP CMMS / Materials tracking procedure.
- Attentive to detail with a high-grade accuracy.
- Thorough organisational and administrative skills.
- Communicate and work as part of the team.
