Our Opportunity

 

Work Location: Cloudbreak - Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.

 

Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth

 

Fortescue are currently seeking an experienced Reliability Specialist to join our team at Cloudbreak on a family friendly 8/6 roster. This role is responsible for providing reliability engineering support, data analysis, improvement projects, safety projects and defect elimination for the operational Ore Processing Facility (OPF), to enable sustained asset performance within the cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Review reliability strategies as well as the implementation of the strategies, to drive continual improvement of plant reliability and uptime.
  • Analyse failures and implement changes to minimise the risk of reoccurrence.
  • Completion of Defect Elimination Actions and cooperating with other departments and suppliers.
  • Break down support and reporting - assist with technical information and recovery plans, gathering information for investigation and flash reports.
  • Shutdown support to solve implementation issues.
  • Identify cost saving initiative for OPEX reduction.

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Reliability Engineering or Trade qualification with relevant industry experience as a Technical Officer.
  • Extensive experience in a fixed plant environment or other heavy industry environment; site-based experience in a Maintenance / Reliability Officer role preferred.
  • A high level of planning, problem solving, organisational, scheduling and co-ordination skills.
  • Knowledge of EAM, CMMS software including knowledge of SAP operation.
  • Strong ability on computer-based programs such as MS office suite and Navisworks.
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management skills.
