Our Opportunity
Work Location: Iron Bridge Concentrate Handling Facility (CHF) Port Hedland - Fortescue’s Iron Bridge CHF project is located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.
Roster: 8D6R7N7R – FIFO ex Perth
Reporting to the Operations & Maintenance Supervisor at Iron Bridge CHF, this role will be responsible for all aspects of maintenance functions for the operational process plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example through visible commitment to safety, consistently demonstrating Fortescue’s values while overseeing the efficient use of the plant to meet production targets
- Provide support and input into maintenance planning processes to ensure all scheduled tasks are achievable and allow for safe and efficient production
- Guiding team in the field to complete maintenance activities safely and effectively
- Promote rigorous compliance to Zero Harm principles on a daily basis such as ensuring that all works completed are adequately risk assessed and hazards mitigated and adequately controlled
- Ensure all maintenance works are completed in a timely manner to a very high quality with necessary maintenance inspections and audits of the site and related facilities completed within allocated time frames
- Assist with operational running, diagnostics and fault finding of the processing plant
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience in guiding, engaging and empowering large teams alongside a proven commitment to safety is highly desirable
- Mechanical Fitter Trade qualification with at least 5 years’ experience in a Fixed Plant (wet plant) maintenance site-based environment
- Experience in maintaining Mag-Drums, Vipers, Filter Belts, and pumping assets
- Experience in rebuilding Warman and Sulzer pumps
- Strong written, verbal communication skills and computer proficiency skills in SAP and Microsoft suite essential
- It will also be advantageous to have the below:
- HRW licence (Forklift/Telehandler/EWP)
- W@H and Confined Space
- Rigging
- Dogging
- HR/CN
