Mechanical Planner
Our Opportunity
Location: Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.
Roster: 8D 6R FIFO ex Perth
Join Fortescue’s Iron Bridge Project team as a key contributor to the ongoing performance and reliability of our fixed plant operations. In this role, you’ll be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of all maintenance tasks across site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Scope, plan, and schedule maintenance activities, including planned shutdowns.
- Coordinate labour, equipment, parts, materials, and plant access to optimise maintenance efficiency.
- Maintain and continuously improve SAP Master Data and integrated maintenance plans.
- Ensure all work complies with Fortescue’s safety standards, KPIs, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with maintenance, production, and vendor teams to ensure safe and effective work execution.
- Identify and implement opportunities for maintenance optimisation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated mechanical maintenance experience in ore processing or similar heavy industrial environments.
- Hands-on experience with conveyor and crusher maintenance (highly regarded).
- Proven expertise in shutdown planning and scheduling within a large-scale operation.
- Proficiency in SAP CMMS for planning, scheduling, and data management.
- Recognised mechanical trade qualification or equivalent experience (preferred).
- Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills with a commitment to safety and team collaboration.
