Our Opportunity

Work Location: Iron Bridge - Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people

 

Roster: 7D7N14R – FIFO ex Perth or DIDO ex Port Hedland

 

This is an exciting opportunity for applicants new to the mining industry to join our team at Iron Bridge. Supported by the Operations Supervisor, our Metallurgical Technicians play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Ore Processing Facility (OPF).

You’ll gain hands-on experience operating advanced equipment, supporting plant surveys and metallurgical test work, and contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain PSI and Courier Analysers within the OPF.
  • Conduct regular calibration updates of equipment models.
  • Maintain plant instrumentation and dry sample stations, including ad hoc sample collection across site.
  • Perform metallurgical test work and prepare reports to support the Metallurgy Team in identifying process improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with the execution of plant trials and surveys.
  • Conduct QAQC sampling across the OPF in line with Iron Bridge Metallurgy standards.
  • Always prioritise safety, applying Zero Harm principles in every task.

Qualifications and Experience

  • C Class Manual Driver’s Licence (valid).
  • Strong commitment to safety and willingness to learn new processes and systems.
  • Ability to work 12-hour Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) shifts at a remote mine site.
  • Transferrable skills from similar industries (highly desirable).
  • Team-oriented, with the ability to also work independently when required.
