Our Opportunity
Work Location: Iron Bridge - Fortescue’s Iron Bridge mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.

As a Mine Controller at Fortescue’s Iron Bridge, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and smooth operation of our mining fleet during and after the transition to Fortex, our in-house fleet management system. Working closely with the Supervisor - Mine Control and operational teams, you will help embed new workflows, refine processes, and drive real-time performance improvements that support Fortescue’s commitment to safety, innovation, and our journey towards Net Zero.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control fleet operations in real-time, ensuring safety, productivity, and timely issue resolution.
- Support the transition from current fleet management systems to Fortex with minimal operational disruption.
- Implement new processes and standards aligned with Fortex adoption.
- Maintain clear communication with operations and support teams to enable seamless coordination.
- Provide feedback during testing and commissioning of Fortex functionalities.
- Capture, analyse, and report operational data to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
- 2+ years mine control or operational experience (desirable).
- Strong understanding of fleet management systems (Fortex or equivalent).
- Ability to analyse data and optimise processes in fast-paced environments.
- Effective communicator with strong decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of mining processes and autonomous mining principles.
- Flexible, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and workflows.
