Our Opportunity

 

Location: Christmas Creek OR Cloudbreak - Fortescue’s Christmas Creek and Cloudbreak mines are located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples

 

Roster: 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO ex Perth

 

Are you a dedicated Mine Surveyor eager to make an impact? We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic individual to join our Operations Planning team at our Christmas Creek and Cloudbreak Mines. As a Mine Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in our success by ensuring the precise capture and delivery of spatial data to support various stakeholders across our operations. You'll be part of a team-driven culture that prioritizes safety, innovation, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Timely and accurate provision of all spatial data deliverables.
  • Collaborative work with stakeholders for effective output generation.
  • Monthly reporting of pits and stockpiles for comprehensive insights.
  • Building positive team relationships and contributing to our values-driven culture.
  • Upholding safety standards and promoting a secure work environment.

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Australian work rights either permanent resident or citizen
  • Hold a Degree or Advanced Diploma in Mine Surveying.
  • Possess over two years of surveying experience, with experience in open pit mining operations desirable.
  • Remote Pilots License - desirable
  • Proficiency in GNSS, Total Stations, and UAVs for precise data acquisition.
  • Familiarity with Maptek software (Vulcan and Point Studio) desirable.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Hold a current WA C-Class manual driver’s license.
