Elevate your career with an exciting leadership opportunity as a Mining Coordinator at Fortescue's Cloudbreak Mine Site. Reporting directly to the Superintendent Mine Development, this role is integral to the site's efficiency and safety.Your focus will be responsible for coordinating Mine Support Development activities at Cloudbreak, ensuring alignment with core work activities, safety standards, and operational requirements.The role promotes innovation in execution and problem-solving, while providing daily oversight, progress tracking, stakeholder communication, and proactive issue resolution to support efficient and safe delivery of site works.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Coordination: Foster a high-performance team culture aligned with Fortescue values, coordinating tasks based on resource availability.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with internal teams, including Mining and Ore Processing Facility (OPF) units, while managing external relationships with stakeholders from FMG's Cloudbreak Operations.
- Contractor Management: Engage contractors as required and ensure FMG standards are maintained. Providing guidance on priorities.
- Communication & Reporting: Coordinate variation works and review monthly claims while upholding Fortescue standards.
- Management of the existing and future CB Mining Capital projects. Planning, costing and delivering on time and with in budget capital works associated with mining and development activities across CB.
- Business Improvement: Monitoring and developing Business Improvement projects that improve operational efficiencies across the CB Mining department.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant mine site experience and either hold or be working towards a Quarry Manager Certificate of Competency
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office suite, SAP, BMS or similar data and reporting systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
- High-level problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail while working in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- The capability to create and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with key stakeholders.
- Current C Class Drivers Licence
