Network Services Specialist
Our Opportunity
Work Location: Perth, Western Australia. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: Monday to Friday.
You will be responsible for general implementation, technical configuration, ongoing operational health and maintenance of Fortescue network, security and communications infrastructure installations as specified for all operational sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate as a member of a team that is principally responsible for ensuring that network and communications implementations and installations are operationally sustainable and supportable at an enterprise level according to Technology Operations Standards
- Participate in all new enterprise project and architecture initiatives with the view to ensuring that solutions meet current capabilities and support a sustainable and supportable outcome from any change required
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of Technology operational systems administration experience covering network operating systems at enterprise level
- Proven track record in providing support to a diverse and busy environment
- Excellent communication skills with strong client focus
- Strong time management & organisational skills - able to prioritise & multitask
- Proven change management, incident and problem management skills
- Proven issue resolution and problem solving skills
- Experience with common network technologies; MPLS, BGP, IPSec, NAT, OSPF, HSRP, VRFs, STP, WLAN
- Experience maintaining next-generation enterprise firewalls and centralized policy management
- Experience with Cisco routing/switching platforms including Catalyst 9k and Nexus switches, ISR and ASR routers
