Operational Specialist
Our Opportunity
Work Location: Perth. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: 5d/2R or 4d/3R
Managing projects and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the control rooms for multiple sites. Your responsibilities will include leading and managing projects to drive operational improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and monitoring project progress. You will support supervisors and operators, develop training materials, and evaluate performance to enhance the skills and knowledge of all control room operations personnel. Additionally, you will provide daily operational support to supervisors, ensuring efficient workflow, addressing challenges, and optimizing performance across all teams in a control room environment across multiple sites
Key Responsibilities
- Manage capital projects and oversee day-to-day operations of control rooms.
- Lead and manage small and large projects to drive operational improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and monitor project progress.
- Support supervisors and operators, develop training materials, and evaluate performance.
- Provide daily operational support to supervisors, ensuring efficient workflow and addressing challenges.
- Implement measures to improve efficiency, comply with safety regulations, and drive operational excellence
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven track record of managing projects, overseeing daily operations, and optimising processes.
- Substantial experience in a similar industry or field.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and supervising employees.
- Comprehensive understanding of operational procedures, project management methodologies, and industry-specific regulations.
- Knowledge of control room operations and multi-site management.
- Familiarity with industry-specific technologies, equipment, and operational requirements.
