Our Opportunity
Location: Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster: 8D6R
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and supervise all Fire (Mech / Elect), Potable / Waste water operation, delivery, collection and Fuel delivery / operation / maintenance.
- Ensure that the Contractors within your scope of work meet the contractual agreements in place including KPI’s set regarding, quality levels and safety requirements and other services provided by them are completed and maintained in accordance with the contract, FMG requirements and any legislative regulations and requirements.
- Ensure all necessary maintenance inspections and audits of the Sites and related facilities are completed within the regulatory time frames. Actions arising from those audits are completed in a satisfactory manner and time frame.
- Ensure all maintenance plans are completed and work is carried out in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Ensure relevant Maintenance management documents and associated files are updated and copies maintained.
- Provide advice to Superintendent and Manager Mines Services on any proposed works required at our sites (particularly major works) and assume the role of the Works Safety Officer during major maintenance work completion.
Qualifications and Experience
- Trade qualified or minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including both written and verbal communication skills. Having the demonstrated ability to liaise and interact with individuals and groups of varying levels of authority.
- High level of organisation skills and an ability to meet deadlines whilst managing multiple functions simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and associated costs systems for control management and reporting functionalities.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative, be self-directed and work under minimal supervision.
