Our Opportunity

Location: Fortescue Iron Bridge Operation located in Port Hedland and Pardoo on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.

 

Roster: 8D6R ex Perth

 

Reporting to the department Manager, the role of the Maintenance and Operations coordinator is to support our leadership team with delivering of safe, efficient and cost-effective production for our Concentrate handling Facility and West Canning Basin operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and coordinate the Concentrate Handling Facility and West Canning Basin to maintain safe, reliable, and sustainable production performance.
  • Assist in ensuring the long-term integrity of plant assets, aligning with the strategic goals of the Asset Management Department.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute shutdowns for the Concentrate Handling Facility and West Canning Basin, including post-shutdown close-out activities.
  • Provide departmental coordination support to the Manager and Superintendent, including acting in leadership roles and assisting with departmental projects.
  • Ensure compliance of both sites through regular auditing processes and adherence to safety and operational standards.
  • Offer leadership, guidance, and support to Supervisors, Leading Hands, and Permit Hut Coordinators, fostering development and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Hold a valid Electrical Trade Qualification (WA Licence) with proven experience in fixed plant maintenance and safe operational oversight.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and contractor management skills with the ability to guide diverse teams effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, SAP, Anaplan, PowerPoint, and Word for operational and reporting functions.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experienced in work management, planning, and coordination within industrial or plant environments.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of Electrical Compliance, Regulations, and the capability to hold Supervisor Statuary Appointment and Electrical In-House Nominee responsibilities.
