Our Opportunity

 

Work Location: Western Hub (Solomon & Eliwana)

 

Roster: 8 days / 6 off – FIFO ex Perth

 

A unique opportunity has come up for a self-motivated, flexible and proactive Registered Nurse/Registered Paramedic to join our Western Hub team. Reporting to the Supervisor Health & Injury Prevention, you will provide medical care in both emergency and non-emergency treatment and promote health care to all site personnel in accordance with Fortescue's policies and procedures.

 

Being well versed in interpersonal, problem solving and decision-making skills, you will also be responsible to maintain treatment facilities, site ambulance and all equipment to the highest standards, along with a strong commitment to emergency response and confidence in your skills and experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs to effectively manage rapidly changing situations and ensure high quality patient care
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of medical online programs such as Excel and maintain confidential, accurate and detailed medical treatment records
  • Provide training and support to the Emergency Services and Response Teams
  • Daily emergency and medical care of all personnel and work an on-call roster
  • Demonstrate proficiency using OSHA guidelines and FMG policies and procedures when classifying and treating injuries
  • Ability to coordinate and manage COVID testing and isolation protocols on site.

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse/Registered Paramedic with no restrictions
  • Demonstrated Post Grad experience is essential
  • Advanced clinical assessment skills
  • Experience in emergency nursing/paramedicine is preferred
  • Current Australian manual driver's licence.
