Our Opportunity

Work Location: Chichester Hub

  • Fortescue’s Chichester hub is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.

 Roster: 4D/3R – FIFO ex Perth

You will provide HR advice and support to the HR Manager, management team and employees across employee relations, industrial relations, performance management, employee engagement and retention, recruitment, record keeping and reporting, training and development, including succession planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with leadership teams to ensure the effective implementation and management of Fortescue People policies, practices, procedures that provide an optimal working environment and promote Fortescue’s culture and values.
  • Provide high level coach/mentoring to leaders and the workforce.
  • Support leaders with organisational reviews as required.
  • Drive regular Fortescue People initiatives, in line with agreed timelines.
  • Initiate, manage and contribute to major Fortescue People reports, projects, committees, reviews and/or continuous improvement activities.
  • Support and facilitate leadership development training.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in human resources, employee relations or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience working in a Senior HR generalist role covering IR/ER, performance management, organisational development, and HR reporting.
  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively communicate, promote and uphold Fortescue People initiatives and company values within discretion and confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including interviewing, counselling, negotiating and report writing
  • Well-developed organisational and administrative skills, including strong attention to detail and the ability to priorities and control own workload
