Our Opportunity

 

Location: Perth – Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people

 

 

Roster: Monday to Friday

 

 

The Principal Analyst will play a pivot role in leading and supporting key strategic projects across Fortescue.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Project framing: Understand the problem that needs to be solved and develop an analytical approach and workplan to solve the given problem
  • Market intelligence: Gather and analysis industry trends, competitive dynamics and customer demand to understand risks and opportunities for Fortescue
  • Internal assessment: Analyse Fortescue’s internal costs and capabilities to identify opportunities to drive revenue or cost improvements
  • Stakeholder engagement: Work with leaders, experts and external stakeholders to collect information, test ideas and jointly develop recommendations
  • Strategy formulation: Define strategic options and development recommendations for the leadership team to endorse
  • Project management: Manage project progress against the initial plan including keeping key stakeholders accountable and identifying risks and potential mitigants.

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Finance, Engineering or a related field
  • 4 + years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business analysis or commercial roles or related fields
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to write clearly and concisely strong writing skills
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to effectively operate across multiple areas with a broad range of stakeholders.
