Principal Approvals Planning
Our Opportunity
Work Location: Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: Monday – Friday
An exciting opportunity exists for an Approvals Planning Principal to join the Operations and Studies Approvals Planning team, to support the company’s current and future iron-ore mining operations within the Pilbara Region of Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track business activity scoping and approval advice processes to completion.
- Consolidate integrated approval advice and status, to facilitate business planning, prioritisation and risk management.
- Communicate defined approval pathways and schedules to the applicable business scope owner.
- Prepare materials for approvals planning meetings and forums.
- Identify approvals schedule risks and mitigations and provide ongoing monitoring of approval risk profile.
- Ensure project information is current and correct within the Integrated Approvals Schedule.
- Utilise the Integrated Approvals Schedule to track and assess approval progress and delivery status.
- Manage team members accordingly, to support delivery of key tasks.
Qualifications and Experience
- Significant, demonstratable experience working in Mining, Approvals, Project Management or related role.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
- Ability to coordinate, prioritise and manage competing demands and priorities.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
- Ability to use Geospatial Information Systems
- Ability to work well within a team and across multiple business groups.
