Our Opportunity
Work Location: Perth. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: Monday to Friday.

Join the Accelerated Business Drivers team, where you will play a critical role in driving value creation across our Metals and Energy businesses and Corporate Functions.
This position focuses on partnering with corporate functions to unlock cost savings by identifying initiatives, conducting benchmarking, leveraging analytics, and strengthening controls. You will collaborate closely with corporate function leaders, business improvement teams, and commercial groups to drive cost-saving opportunities.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong analytical mindset and a proven ability to drive transformative change in corporate environments.
Reporting to: Manager Accelerated Business Drivers
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee controls and analytics to provide insights into corporate spending, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Identify and implement monitoring mechanisms for critical performance drivers, with a focus on headcount and other key spend areas.
- Collaborate with functional leaders to deliver business improvement initiatives and unlock value levers.
- Conduct data analytics and benchmarking to identify efficiency opportunities and drive cost reduction.
- Facilitate workshops to prioritize and implement improvements across corporate functions.
- Support the preparation and delivery of executive-level presentations and reports.
- Provide insights from financial and non-financial datasets to guide decision-making and improve transparency.
- Partner with business improvement and finance teams to ensure alignment of efforts and maximize outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in Commercial, Corporate Functions (e.g., Finance, HR, IT) or related business improvement roles.
- Proven experience in benchmarking, cost analysis, and performance improvement within corporate environments.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced analytical skills with expertise in translating data into actionable insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.
- Self-starter with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving and a commitment to driving solutions.
