Our Opportunity
Work Location: Fortescue’s Iron Bridge Operation is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.
Roster: 4D3X – FIFO ex Perth or DIDO Port Hedland
Reporting to the Manager People and Culture, the Principal People and Culture is responsible for providing support, advice and guidance to leaders and team members alike.
The role has input into the design of the People and Culture strategy which aims to achieve an engaged, empowered, diverse and high performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership to implement and manage Fortescue People policies that foster a positive work environment and uphold company values.
- Work with internal People departments to ensure consistent service delivery across the organisation.
- Execute the People and Culture strategy, leading key activities like Performance and Remuneration Reviews, Workforce Planning, and Talent Management.
- Analyse employee survey results with stakeholders to develop programs that boost engagement and retention.
- Support leaders in managing workplace investigations, performance issues, and conflict mediation.
- Create and deliver leadership development training on employment practices, cultural awareness, and diversity initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Employee Relations or a related field.
- Demonstrated work experience in a similar role including working with executive and senior level management.
- Track record of leading both strategic and operational HR support.
- Communication, problem solving, and relationship building will all be critical to your success in this role, as will your skills in engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders to influence outcomes.
- Experience with case management and disciplinary processes essential.
- SuccessFactors experience would be highly advantageous.
