Location: Solomon - Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

Roster: 7D7N14R - FIFO ex Perth

Fortescue is seeking experienced Fixed Plant Process Operators to join our dynamic team at Solomon. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in the efficient operation and maintenance of our ore processing plants and stockyards, ensuring the achievement of production targets and adherence to high safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently operate ore processing plants, including large crushing and screening systems, MMD sizers, cone crushing circuits, and associated conveying systems, scrubbers, hydrocyclones, upflow classifiers, vacuum filters and thickeners.
• Perform general maintenance of crushing plants and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Liaise regularly with management to communicate production progress and ensure target achievement.
• Operate stackers, reclaimers, and manage stockpiles effectively.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, contributing to team goals and supporting colleagues.

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrate a high commitment to safety standards and values.
• Show enthusiasm and a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
• Working at Heights qualification is desirable.
• Proven experience operating large crushing, screening, and processing plants, including:
  • MMD sizers and cone crushing circuits.
  • Associated plant components and conveying systems.
  • Scrubbers.
  • Wet and Dry screens.
  • Hydrocyclones.
  • Upflow classifiers.
  • Thickeners.
• Experience with operating systems such as SCADA, Citect, Simplicity, and Meridian.
• Familiarity with stacker and reclaimer operations and stockpile management is advantageous.
• Experience in operating machinery such as forklifts, telehandlers, and similar equipment.
