Our Opportunity

 

Work Location: Iron Bridge - Fortescue’s Iron Bridge site is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.

 

Roster: 7D7N14R FIFO ex Perth or DIDO ex Port Hedland 

 

Fortescue is currently seeking an experienced Fixed Plant Process Operator for their Iron Bridge project.

 

As a Process Operator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our ore processing facility (OPF). This includes monitoring equipment, ensuring the smooth processing of iron ore from raw material to finished product, and adhering to safety and environmental policies. Your role is essential in maximizing plant efficiency and product quality, directly impacting our operational success.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Adhering to our Zero Harm principles daily
  • Operate and monitor processing equipment and facilities, ensuring efficient throughput and high-quality output
  • Conduct regular general inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure operational reliability
  • Ensure compliance with Fortescue’s safety protocols and environmental regulations at all times
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to facilitate repairs and preventive maintenance

 

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Previous experience as a Process Operator, preferably in the mining industry or a related heavy industrial environment
  • Experience operating large crushing screening processing plants including MMD sizers, cone crushing circuits associated conveying systems and associated plant components
  • High safety standards with showing commitment to our company safety values
  • Working at heights qualification desirable
  • Strong commitment to safety, health and environmental practices
  • Positive attitude with an eagerness to learn new things and work effectively in a team, communicating clearly
