Our Opportunity

Work Location: Perth - Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.

Roster: Monday to Friday Occasional site travel may be required

 

Fortescue is seeking a Product Owner to join our team to help define and guide development of our own in-house Fleet Management System.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaising with business and internal stakeholders to identify and communicate business value relating to features.
  • Documenting and defining requirements, operational scenarios and acceptance criteria to enable design and development of features.
  • Working cross functionally to ensure features are delivered as envisioned.
  • Contributing to other documentation including release notes, operational manuals and user guides.
  • Occasional site travel to support customers.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Good understanding of mining production principles and key drivers to a successful dispatching / fleet control operation.
  • Experience working in autonomous mining operations either in Mine Control / Dispatching capacity or as an operator with skill on AHS systems in Tier 1 mining operations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders including presenting to senior managers.
  • Detail-oriented and organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience as Product Owner or a similar role desirable.
  • Experience with road train operations desirable.
