Project Manager - Property

At Fortescue, we believe great projects are built by diverse, collaborative, and passionate people. We’re expanding our Property Projects team and seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage and deliver a wide range of exciting commercial office fit-out and property development projects.
This role will support or lead the delivery of multiple property projects. Working closely with the Manager of Projects Group and Senior Project Managers, you’ll gain experience across a broad portfolio of projects ranging from commercial office fit-outs, light industrial fit-outs (workshops, warehouses and laboratories) and mixed-use greenfield property developments. The projects are diverse in scale, in various stages of delivery, and can be located locally, nationally, and internationally.
To succeed in this role, you will bring strong stakeholder management and project management skills, with a background in client side commercial fit-outs or property development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end project delivery (projects vary in size and complexity)
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand functional needs and define scope
- Undertake thorough project / property due diligence
- Manage project budgets and timelines while undertaking regular reporting
- Manage consultant teams and contractors through design and construction
- Manage change and competing priorities across multiple projects
- Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and company policies
- Manage the procurement of consultant teams and contractors
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and team members
- Manage risk identification and mitigation
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Property, Construction, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience managing client-side commercial office fit-outs or built form developments is a must
- Proven ability to manage projects in a fast-paced environment
- A track record of building and maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Willingness to take ownership, be accountable and learn in an environment where we provide a key service to core parts of the business
- Excellent understanding of the building code, statutory regulations and approvals processes
- Excellent organisational, communication and negotiation skills
- Financial literacy skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
