Our Opportunity

 

Work Location: Western Hub

 

Roster: 4:3 - Monday to Thursday (FIFO)

 

This is a challenging and exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager, to support project and facilities delivery for the Central Services Team within Fortescue and demonstrate the ability to deliver projects under tight timeframes.

 

The role will require a dynamic, flexible, and experienced Project Manager with expertise in all facets of project management including full project life cycle responsibility for managing projects. A strong focus will be your ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to manage multiple parties and be involved heavily in stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Managing construction projects within the Western Hub for Villages and Aerodromes.
  • New design and construct buildings, including existing infrastructure upgrades.
  •  Strong stakeholder management will be necessary to ensure management of site-based project teams including contractors assigned to the works.
  • Working under the leadership of the Manager you will oversee the delivery of a diverse range of projects, in particular village improvement and refurbishment.
  •  This role will see you heavily involved in stakeholder engagement and design management to ensure projects are on course to meet internal stakeholders’ expectations. 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Experienced in supporting the delivery of complex, large-scale projects with multiple consultancies and stakeholders.
  • A proven track record (5+ years) of delivering projects on time and on budget, with a high attention to detail.
  • Able to manage and oversee the full lifecycle of projects (including feasibility, design management, tendering and contract administration) with a focus of identifying risks and establishing risk mitigation processes.
  • Strong understanding of Australian legislation, Australian building standards and council regulations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and practice of health and safety guidelines during the delivery of projects.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a project delivery team as required. 
  • Formalisation of scope, execution of contracts and budget monitoring is critical. 
  • Review and understand architectural/engineering drawings, leases, contracts, and construction practices.
  • A dynamic team-player with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, committed to delivering outcomes under tight timeframes
