Work Location: Eliwana - Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.

Join Fortescue as a ROM/Road Train Supervisor and play a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence and safety at our mining site. You will oversee field operations, manage contractors alongside a team, and drive efficiency in our road train fleet. Key Responsibilities

  • Safe and effective supervision of a Load and Haul production team including the coaching, mentoring and development of personnel.
  • Provide visible positive leadership by always demonstrating safe behaviours and displaying the Fortescue values, whilst managing the effective utilisation of the mining fleet.
  • Lead and support field operations to meet production targets and maintain compliance with schedules.
  • Manage contractors and support personnel to ensure adherence to safety and operational standards.
  • Foster a culture of respect, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement stockpile management processes and coordinate ore delivery to road train fleet.
  • Drive operational efficiency, cost control, and environmental compliance.
  • Communicate with all relevant stakeholders to execute the daily mine plans safely and efficiently
  • Support and mentor new-to-industry personnel through a 12-month program, demonstrating a friendly and empathetic approach to their development.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in supervising mining operations, preferably in ROM and road train environments.
  • Sound understanding of safety protocols and incident management systems.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage teams effectively.
  • Commitment to Fortescue's values and culture of safety and sustainability.
  • Knowledge of WA Mine Safety and Inspection Act and Regulation.
