Role: Reliability Engineer / Senior Reliability Engineer 

Work Location: Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.

Roster: 8D/6R  - Reliability Engineer

Roster: 4D/3R  - Senior Reliability Engineer

FIFO ex Perth 

 

This role is responsible for enhancing the reliability and performance of mineral processing plant equipment through data analysis, technical expertise, and project management. This role involves developing maintenance strategies, supporting operational teams, and leading reliability projects in line with asset management standards. This role involves fostering development of the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder management and change management    
  • Provide technical support to Ore Processing Facility applying reliability engineering techniques, data analysis, improvement projects and defect elimination
  • Review and improve OPF Maintenance strategies to safely improve plant reliability; improve throughput and reduce costs
  • Monitor quality assurance of critical processes such as maintenance strategy compliance
  • Audit delay accounting data to ensure delays and down time is captured correctly within the time usage model 
  • Propose improvement ideas and initiate and execute improvement projects
  • Identify and champion safety initiatives and initiate and execute project to improve safety
  • Completing and managing reviews and tasks to improve the reliability of assets and/or improve safety.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Mechanical or Reliability Engineering or relevant industry experience as a technical officer 
  • A high level of planning and problem solving ability.
  • +5 years of experience in fixed plant or heavy industry environment, site-based experience in an Engineering role preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management skills 
  • Knowledge of EAM, CMMS software including basic knowledge of SAP operation
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools
