Work Location: Fortescue’s Port Hedland operations located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.

 

Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth

 

Fortescue is currently seeking a Reliability Engineer to work within our Engineering & Reliability department. This position will be to provide technical support using initiatives and applying reliability engineering techniques, data analysis, improvement projects and defect elimination for the Hedland Operations Port Facility.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • - Ensure correct application of Health & Safety standards
  • - Reliability engineering support for defect elimination across port operations
  • - Facilitate and lead root cause analysis investigations.
  • - Development and delivery of action plans to improve the reliability of production critical equipment.
  • - Assisting in the development and implementation of accurate downtime reports.
  • - Liaison with relevant departments to provide technical solutions.
  • - Foster a culture of continuous improvement within maintenance.
  • - Provide support and guidance to graduate engineers.

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Tiary Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
  • - Condition monitoring knowledge/understanding
  • - SAP Knowledge preferred
  • - Minimum 3+ years experience in reliability engineering or maintenance engineering roles. Preferably in the resource sector.
  • - Reliability skills such as FMECA, RCM and RCA
  • - Knowledge of relevant Mines legislations and regulations.
