Reliability Senior Engineer
Our Opportunity
Location: Iron Bridge - Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.
Roster: 8D 6R FIFO ex Perth
Fortescue is seeking an experienced Senior Reliability Engineer to lead and develop our fixed plant reliability engineering team. In this role, you will drive reliability improvement strategies, provide technical excellence, and ensure disciplined execution of maintenance and engineering controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop fixed plant reliability engineering personnel.
- Implement and sustain the fixed plant reliability improvement strategy and supporting systems.
- Conduct and oversee Root Cause Analysis, defect elimination and engineering studies.
- Prioritise and manage reliability improvement projects to enhance plant performance and reduce costs.
- Facilitate reliability reporting, including downtime analysis and performance improvement initiatives.
- Review and optimise maintenance strategies to improve long-term plant reliability and asset life.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Systems, or Process Engineering.
- Site-based experience in fixed plant or rotating equipment maintenance on a mine site.
- Strong capability in Root Cause Analysis, life cycle cost management and data analytics.
- Proficiency in SAP and understanding of process control and work management systems.
- Excellent planning, budgeting, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of ISO55000 and reliability engineering tools and methodologies.
