Our Opportunity

Work Location: Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.

 

Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth 

 

Reporting to the Engineering and Reliability Lead Engineer, the Reliability Specialist will be engaged with the OPF Operations, Maintenance and Shutdown team to provide reliability engineering support, data analysis, improvement projects, safety projects and defect elimination for the operational Ore Processing Facility (OPF), to enable sustained asset performance within the cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaison with relevant departments to provide technical solutions    
  • Stakeholder management and change management    
  • Monitor quality assurance of critical processes such as maintenance strategy compliance
  • Propose improvement ideas and initiate and execute improvement projects
  • Completing and managing reviews and tasks to improve the reliability of assets and/or improve safety.
  • Break down support and reporting - assist with technical information and recovery plans, gathering information for investigation and flash reports.
  • Provide engineering support for shutdown and weekly maintenance activities as required
  • Assist Reliability Specialists with improvement projects and maintenance support

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Mechanical or Reliability Engineering or relevant industry experience as a technical officer 
  • A high level of planning and problem solving ability.
  • +5 years of experience in fixed plant or heavy industry environment, site-based experience in an Engineering role preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management skills 
  • Knowledge of EAM, CMMS software including basic knowledge of SAP operation
  • Strong ability on computer-based programs such as MS office suite and Navisworks
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to provide engineering support
