We are seeking a Reliability Specialist to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency and dependability of our rollingstock operations. This role offers the opportunity to apply your engineering expertise, engage with stakeholders across all levels, and lead strategic maintenance initiatives that drive operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

 

 

    • Monitoring and analysis of locomotive performance, reliability and costs to define the department priorities.
    • Identify potential risks to the asset and the business.
    • Developing, optimizing and governing maintenance strategies.
    • Lead Reliability-centred maintenance best practice through the application of Defect Elimination processes, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys and Failure Mode Effect Cause Analysis.
    • Examine asset performance and work management trends and identify opportunities to consistently improve equipment reliability and productivity.
    • Identify and drive initiatives / projects with a focus on improving MTBF, equipment availability and direct cost savings.
    • Provide technical support and recommendations based on findings from data analysis, testing and engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Demonstrate an alignment to the Fortescue Values
    • Ensure Fortescue and site operations procedures and policies are followed.
    • High regard to safety

Qualifications and Experience

 

    • Current WA C Class Licence
    • 3-4 years rollingstock experience in Mining/Bulk Material/Heavy Industry.
    • Keen willingness to learn new technologies for locomotives.
    • Have an engineering degree or currently pursuing to become a qualified engineer.
    • Ability to influence, engage, & communicate with stakeholders effectively across all levels of the business, from frontline employees to senior management.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach to finding practical solutions utilising continuous improvement processes.
    • Ability to define and manage projects from conception to completion.
